Le Mas de Quatremonts
Le Mas de Quatremonts is situated about 3 km from the village of Bonnieux, in the heart of the Parc Naturel Regional de Luberon, overlooking a valley of lavender fields, cherry groves, and meadows, with the wooded massif of the Grand Luberon as a backdrop. You will be on a mountain-bikeable hiking path almost straight out of the gate, and the quiet, twisting back roads offer great opportunities for cycling. Cool down afterwards in the swimming pool and enjoy a glass of rosé under the pergola, or perhaps a game of boules in the yard.
In the evening, drop by one of the restaurants or bistros in Bonnieux or pick up some local produce at the grocer's, butcher's, or baker's there. If you can't find what you need in Bonnieux, the town of Apt with its many shops and services is a 15-minute drive away.

Finding Your Way
Le Mas de Quatremonts is at 850 Chemin de Saint-Symphorien, about 3 km from the village of Bonnieux. You can get here most easily from Marseilles airport, Aix-en-Provence TGV station, or Avignon TGV station, all about an hour's drive away. We can arrange to pick you up from any of these locations for a fee.
Another option is Nice airport. It is a little less than a three hours drive. We do not offer pick-up from there.
Bonnieux and Surroundings
The picturesque and lively village of Bonnieux, about 3 km on foot from Quatremonts, has a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars as well as regular farmer's markets, concerts, and other activities. A mountain-bikeable hiking path will take you directly there from the house, or you can drive there, leaving your car on the parking by the upper church.
- You can get groceries and fresh produce from Utile at the centre of the village.
- Restaurant La Flambée – family-owned in the third generation! – serves excellent pizza and other Provencal food.
- You will find an excellent butcher's shop and bakery on the same street.
- The post and the pharmacy are near the lower church.
The surrounding area has numerous hiking and mountain-biking paths for all levels. The cedar forest at the summit of the Petit Luberon is worth a visit, it is about a 20 minutes drive away. If you're visiting in the summer, bring plenty of water as the southern slopes of the Luberon get hot!
If Bonnieux does not have what you need, you may want to visit the nearby town of Apt. It has been a market town since Roman times, so you will find just about everything there.
- For all kinds of fresh produce, try Fresh, from the rond-point de Gargas just outside Apt.
- You will find organic food and related goods at Luberon Bio.
- The farmers' shop in Apt sells produce direct from local producers.
- Malavard in central Apt has excellent ready-made food as well as meat, sausages, and poultry.
